The Full Story
Moose Creations handmade mask tethers came out of necessity when I went back to work as a teacher during the first wave of the pandemic. While I wore my mask most of the day, I was finding it difficult to store my mask when I was in my office away from the kids, or having some lunch. My kids, who also returned to school, kept dropping their masks or forgetting them in their bags or jacket pockets. So I started to browse the internet for mask tethers. What I found weren’t all that interesting or fun, and most didn’t have safety clips for kids. I experimented with a few and eventually settled on a design I liked. I made some for family, friends, co-workers and was eventually convinced by friends that I should start offering them for a minimal fee to help cover my costs. Because I’m a brand new, tiny side-hustle crafter, I’m not always fully stocked on materials, though I’m constantly sourcing more from local suppliers, so I apologize in advance if I’m out of stock or have a delay in orders. I’m usually able to complete orders within a week or less, depending on the size of the order.
